Polycarbonate is the toughest transparent sheet available. Virtually unbreakable and 250 times stronger than single-strength glass, Polycarbonate is used in glazing, vacuum forming and fabrication. It can be thermoformed, cold formed and brake formed to shape into one-piece configurations which is important because they help retain the original tough integrity of the material. Brandnames include Lexan, Makrolon, and Tuffak.
